Accts Receivable Supervisor - Grand

This position will be responsible for supervising the Accounts Receivable department, monitoring the daily collections efforts and evaluating timely and accurate payments and postings. This person will participate in the month-end accounting close process; review daily operating reports for accuracy distributing such to the operating leadership team; and perform special projects as assigned.

? BS degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university preferred.
? Minimum of 5 years experience in a gaming collections environment.
? Must possess an in depth knowledge of internal gaming control procedures.
? Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint software.
? Applicant should be customer service oriented with good communication skills and present a well-groomed appearance. Must be able to get along well with co-workers and work as a team.
? Must be able to effectively mentor, coach, train, develop and motivate crew members in order to establish a team that is a well-respected resource to the operations team.

? Provide statistical information to property management regarding account activity.
? Make recommendations regarding account collection and write-off decisions.
? Responsible for record retention including all records required by Internal and Accounting Control Procedures.
? Review all reports and statements prepared by the Accounts Receivable and Collections department for neatness, completeness, accuracy and to ensure that all deadlines are met.
? Build a team environment, setting performance standards, measuring and developing the attainment of those standards by department personnel.
? Insure the accuracy and completeness of receivable related journal entries posted at month end through the proper reconciliation of the resulting month end receivable and allowance for doubtful account balances.
? Train and supervise personnel and prepare evaluations according to company policy.

Able to analyze and interpret financial information to identify reasons for return items and discrepancies. Able to work at a computer terminal through out the assigned shift and sit for long periods of time. Able to bend, reach, carry, stand, and maneuver up and down stairs. Respond to visual and aural cues. Able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to operate the following equipment: computers, printers, copier, 10 key adding machine and telephone.
