Administrative Assistant - Finance

A suburban non-profit summer camp/outdoor school is looking for an individual to manage, oversee and perform a variety of accounting, human resource and payroll processes and procedures; to ensure the timely completion of required transactions, reports and establishment of records; to ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements and good business practices; and to perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

 

Responsible for management of billing and payroll procedures, and registration procedures for all groups using the camp facilities.

 

Qualifications:

 1.  A minimum of an associates degree in business administration or a related  field of study with at least two years experience in a business environment.

 2.  A working knowledge of the following computer software applications:

Quick Books (Certification in Quick Books is preferred);  Microsoft operating system;  MS Excel spreadsheet system; MS Word; ADP Payroll program.

 3.  Employee benefit plan administrative experience.

 4.  Experience/training in financial accounts management, payroll and statistics.

 5.  Experience/training in the operation of typical office computer equipment that utilizes Microsoft operating system, as well as basic office machinery.

 6.  Ability to touch type using a standard QWERTY computer keyboard or typical office typewriter with a minimum skill level of 40 words per minute. 

 7.  Organizational skills.

 8.  Ability to perform basic bookkeeping tasks.

 9.  Possess a valid driver's license.

 

Position will begin on or about October 1, 2006.
