POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Work as part of project team representing accounting / finance while supporting, enhancing, upgrading PeopleSoft modules including but not limited to General Ledger, Asset Management, and Accounts Payable.  Individual will provide functional expertise for assigned modules.  In this role, the individual will work with a cross matrix team comprised of functional, technical, business area subject matter experts and consultants.  They will be the primary contact for functional support which includes PeopleSoft product expertise, business process, and Sarbanes Oxley. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

?  Functional project lead for assigned PeopleSoft Financial modules.

?  Documentation of business process flows as they relate to all financial systems.

?  Prepare all pertinent project management documentation including the following:

o Test scripts

o Test results

o Project plan updates

o Business processes

o System enhancement / customization documentation

o System configuration documentation

o Business process documentation

o End user training documentation

?  Prepare / construct PeopleSoft reports including nVision, Query and Crystal.

?  Provide support for assigned PeopleSoft modules including bugs, enhancements, fixes and customizations.

?  Assist / lead continuous process improvement efforts for financial business processes.

?  Participate with future module implementations, upgrades and enhancements.

?  Compile business end user requirements for system enhancements and translate into functional requirements for technical team.

?  Communicate enhancements, bugs, fixes and customizations to business community with appropriate actions for resolution.

?  Promote usage of PeopleSoft in a manner that provides timely and accurate reporting while reducing month-end closing.

?  Champion PeopleSoft best practices with business community.

?  Knowledge transfer / training to end user community for assigned PeopleSoft modules.

 

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & LICENSES:

 

?  Bachelors Degree in Accounting / Finance.

?  Five plus years experience working with PeopleSoft Financials.

?  Five plus years business process re-engineering, process improvement.

?  Strong accounting knowledge.

?  Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of the organization, including accounting staff, management, and technical teams.

 

MACHINES, OFFICE EQUIPMENT & SOFTWARE:

 

?  PeopleSoft Financial functional expertise

?  Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Project

?  Functional understanding of PeopleCode, SQR, PeopleTools and SQL
