Assistant Comptroller

Austin Ribbon & Computer (ARC) is an Austin Texas based, woman owned company, in business since 1984 and is seeking to fill the position of an Assistant Comptroller.  ARC provides a small company atmosphere with all the benefits normally found in a much larger organization. 

 

The requirements of the position are as follows:

 

Education: Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting

Years of Related Experience: 8-10 years

Pay Type:  Exempt

Pay Range: Based on Experience

 

Below is a sample of day-to-day as well as weekly and monthly duties:

 

1) Be a backup to the Comptroller, managing accounting from accounts payable (including numerous activities with flooring accounts), accounts receivable (including invoicing, posting payments, and collections) inventory maintenance, assets and depreciation, bank reconciliations, accruals, and financial reports

2)  Post receipts on account

3)  Daily invoicing of all orders shipped including entry of serial numbers

4)  A/R Collections

5)  Purchase Receiving to ?receive? goods in to inventory for invoicing as well as to post vendor invoices to A/P or other liability accounts

6)  Accounts Payable ? enter and post all vendor expense invoices, write checks, and file

7)  Pay flooring company daily for invoices due. 

8)  GE Approvals ? approve all purchases done through our flooring company throughout the day

9)  Update and reconcile spreadsheets and Access databases daily; Constant review of various reports, such as all reports due at month end.  Must have good concept of auditing and reconciling.

10) Review and make corrections to various browser screens such as inventory, customers, vendors, and various special assignments throughout month.

11)  Weekly Order Tracking report to management reflecting dollar volume of orders received daily

12) Track eval units and Demos to ascertain returned in timely manner

13) Cost Avoidance reports once per month

14)  Pull files and data for Audits

15)  Month End Assistance in calculating Commissions

16)  End of year Worker?s Compensation audit or General Liability Audit

17)  Research credit applications for new accounts

18)  Depreciation schedules

19)  New Hires ? indoctrination
