ASSISTANT CONTROLLER/CONTROLLER

 

Our client, a 65 million dollar chemical manufacturer in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, is seeking to hire an Assistant Controller/Controller.  The Assistant Controller will be responsible for two Accounts Payable Clerks and two Accounts Receivable Clerks, and will report to the Vice President of Finance and Human Resources. 

 

Responsibilities Assist with the completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reportsAssist and oversee daily input into the general ledger Ensure integrity of G/L entries and financial reports Select, train, assign, and schedule AP and AR employees Meet budget requirements, monitor expenditures, identify variances, and implement corrective actions Design and maintain accounting processes, including journal entries, general ledger, payroll, billing, collections, accounts payable, accounts receivable  Supervise bank reconciliations and closing processes, support annual budget process, develop and maintain forecasts and models, ensure compliance with GAAP

 

Qualifications Accounting degree or CPA 2-7 years of experience Ability to work in a face-paced environment Excellent Excel skills
