Assistant Controller - PR Agency

Alan Taylor Communications, the nation?s leading lifestyle and sports public relations agency, is adding an Assistant Controller to its accounting team.  Our mid-sized agency works with some of the world?s leading consumer brands/companies including MasterCard, Gillette, Microsoft, and Diageo.

 

The ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:

?  Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

?  5 years experience with financial reporting and analysis (public relations or advertising agency experience a big plus)

?  Experience with the implementation of accounting software

?  Strong organizational and analytical skills

?  Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines

?  Ability to interact with individuals at all levels

 

Responsibilities Include:

?  All aspects of financial accounting including

o General ledger management

o Journal entries

o Reconciliations

o Monthly closing, financial statement preparation, consolidations and analysis

o Budgeting and forecasting

o Disbursements

o Client invoicing

o Payroll

o Banking and cash receipts

o Ad hoc projects

?  Human resources and office management including

o Medical insurance, business insurance, 401k and profit sharing administration

o Liaison with building management for basic maintenance and repairs
