Assistant Controller (Sarasota, FL)

Clear Channel Radio Sarasota has an immediate opening for an Assistant Controller reporting to the Market Controller. Responsibilities include: 1) Payroll: processing semi-monthly payroll for approximately 75 employees, reviewing time cards for accuracy, inputting payroll data and talent payments, completing complex commission calculations for 20 account executives & printing payroll checks. 2) Accounts Payable: coding invoices for payment. 3) Accounts Receivable: verifying payments from the daily bank deposit, posting deposits to the A/R software, initiating and posting inter-company cash transfers & researching billing discrepancies. Our ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of general accounting experience with solid math, time management, and organizational skills who will meet deadlines with ease, work efficiently under pressure, and display excellent problem solving skills along with a positive attitude when communicating with customers.
