Assistant Controller & Director of Accounting - IPO opportunity

Venture Point is conducting a search for an Assistant Controller / Director of Accounting for a well established and leading high-tech company located on the mid-peninsula. The Company, private with plans to file for an IPO within the next six months, is profitable and backed by several top venture capital firms. This is a unique opportunity to work with a well established team and help lead the organization through an exciting time.

The Assistant Controller / Director of Accounting position will report to the VP/Controller and will play a key role in leading the accounting operations and managing a team of six. The position will oversee the general ledger, close activities, financials, accounts receivable and payables. This position will also assist with the preparation and filings with the SEC for the initial public offering and successive filings.

The ideal candidate will either be an audit manager from a ?big 4? accounting firm, or have a proven track record as an accounting manager or controller with experience working for a public company and preparing SEC filings.
