Areas of responsibility:
Monthly & quarterly corporate closes
SEC financial reporting and consolidations
Supervise Accounts Payable department
Supervise Tax-related accounting functions
Research accounting literature & pronouncements
Maintain JD Edwards accounting systemJob responsibilities:

?  Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.  Responsible for corporate ledger, taxable REIT subsidiary ledger, monthly and quarterly close process. 

?  Coordinate monthly accounting closings with property accounting personnel and internal department heads.

?  Coordinate quarterly and annual closings with external auditors.

?  Responsible for consolidating financial statements and preparing Form 10Q and 10K financial statements, assisting with SEC filing footnotes and schedules, and earnings press releases.

?  Oversee the operations of the Accounts Payable department and supervise personnel.

?  Review the support of tax provision and tax related filings and documentation.

?  Prepare or review entries related to capital or other non-recurring transactions.

?  Research accounting literature and impact of recently implemented accounting pronouncements. 

?  Assist with implementation and maintenance of requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act Section 404 internal controls.

?  Maintain JD Edwards general ledger accounting system, including chart of accounts and accounting periods.  Direct financial consolidation.

?  Assist with budget process, as needed.

?  Special projects, as needed.

 

Requirements:

?  Accounting degree with 5+ years of accounting experience, CPA preferred.

?  Experience in SEC financial reporting and consolidations required.

?  Experience in real estate industry preferred.

?  JD Edwards experience a plus.
