RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Provide on the job training for fund accounting team.
? Maintain thorough understanding of all fund types, GAAP and the Investment Company Act.
? Ensure daily policies, procedures, practices and controls are followed by the staff accountants.
? Serve as project manager for new Financial Admin clients as required.
? Maintain ongoing communication with BNY Financial Administration team assigned to respective clients.
? Ensure staff meets reporting deadlines.
? Participate in department-wide projects to enhance workflow.
? Coordinate the preparation and review of monthly management reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Must possess an extensive knowledge of investment accounting and mutual fund industry.
? Computer knowledge to include Excel, Word, Visual Basic, Access, etc.
? Excellent knowledge Financial Statements and SEC Filings.
? Strong organizational and time management skills.
? Excellent analytical skills.
? Demonstrates leadership skills.
? Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
? Must be proactive, accountable and responsible.
? Minimum five or more years of Mutual Fund Accounting, Administration or related reporting experience.
? Must possess proficiency with relevant computer systems (InvestOne, etc.)
? Bachelor's degree required.
