Assistant Tax Manager - Accounting

Job Description: Our client is seeking a talented and experienced Assistant Tax Manager.  The ideal candidate will prepare federal, state, and local tax returns.  He or she will also research and develop support for tax planning strategies.

 

Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to, the following
Assist with federal and state audit examinations
Maintain accurate and organized records
Assist in the management functions of
Treasury
Risk insurance

 

Requirements:
5 years experience working with federal and sate compliance
Initiative to continually develop
Technical knowledge
Computer skills
Solid accounting and analytical skills
Highly organized
Capacity to schedule and manage time constraints and mandatory deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills for communicating
Peers
Division accountants
Tax authorities
External advisors
Working knowledge of accounting and tax software including, but not limited to, the following
Lotus
Excel
CorpTax
Turbo Tax
RIA
CCH

 

Education:

The following degrees are a must for this position
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
Masters Degree

 

Preferred Experience:

Possessing the following would be a plus in considering you for this position
CPA license
Previous experience working with either an international company or a large accounting firm

 

Rate of Pay:

$50,000 to $55,000 Annually

 

Hours:

1st Shift

Permanent, Full-Time

 

Location:

Commutable within the region of Florence / Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
