Associate - Global Grants Program

KPMG?s Global Grants Program (GGP) is a National Federal Tax Practice responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the service to clients throughout the country. GGP assists private foundations and public charities in the development and administration of their grant making programs, including conducting pre-grant evaluations and grant expenditure evaluations of potential and existing grant recipients. The Global Grants Program helps new tax exempt organizations develop efficient and effective grant-making processes that comply with tax law requirements. GGP also assists established organizations in reviewing and/or modifying their existing grant making programs to help employ best practices, and operate efficiently and effectively. GGP works closely with client service personnel in KPMG offices worldwide.

Responsibilities:
* Develop, send and follow up standardized work initiation e-mails and conduct briefing calls with KPMG foreign offices to initiate pre-grant evaluations and ongoing grant monitoring activities
* Respond to day-to-day administration queries raised by KPMG foreign offices and clients
* Review and coordinate reports from KPMG foreign offices
* Record and maintain established tracking and monitoring systems for client grants managed by Global Grants Program (GGP), including monitoring grants awarded and stages of work to be completed and helping ensure that KPMG foreign offices initiate, complete and submit their work on time
* Complete billing for GGP services according to the signed engagement letters
* Liaison with KPMG foreign offices to follow up and help resolve country-specific issues as they arise
* Stay current on latest tax practices
* Other relevant duties and responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:
* Financial accounting education (e.g. a major or a minor in Accounting/Finance/Economics/Statistics or a similar field) from an accredited college/university
* 3.0 GPA
* Capacity for analysis, together with excellent organizational skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Functional knowledge of IRS code
* Microsoft Excel and Word proficient
* Demonstrated interest in philanthropic activities/charitable organizations
