Attention all Accountants! A very prestigious Northern Virginia firm is growing at a rapid pace and expanding its accounting practices. The firm currently is seeking an Assistant Controller with 5+ years Accounting experience and a Controller with 10+ years Accounting experience to ensure that the overall division/ super-division accounting activities are in compliance with corporate accounting policies and GAAP.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Accounting - Oversight of all Accounting functions. Accounting functions include AR, AP, payroll, financial reporting, month end close, expense report processing, implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures, management and completion of year end audit. Continued streamlining of accounting systems and improvement of reporting capabilities throughout the company (management information systems). Business Development - Involvement with all potential acquisitions and partnerships, including due diligence and financial modeling. Financial Planning - Develop and maintain internal and external budgets, forecasts, projections, targets and company goals. Financial Reporting - Completion and Distribution of Monthly Financial Statements. Development and presentation of financial information and key metrics (executive Dashboard) to Sr. Management team, the Board and other external parties. Sales Support - Administration of commission plans and sales data to monitor and drive sales toward targets. Financial oversight of contracts with regard to language and terms impacting revenue recognition and non-standard pricing. Shareholder Communication - Completion and Distribution of periodic shareholder communications and financial reports. Treasury - Maintain banking relationships and cash management including cash position forecasting, sweep accounts and short/long term investment decisions. Overall accounts receivable management. Tax - Ensure compliance with all tax reporting agencies for all states for payroll, local, state and federal income tax, franchise and property taxes. Ensure reporting deadlines are met. Assist with Ad Hoc projects as needed

Requirements:

6-10 years Accounting experience Advanced Microsoft Outlook, Word, STRONG Excel, PowerPoint, Navision a plus, QuickArrow a plus Software company experience CPA is a must Knowledge of GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley Compensation: 100K-175K Please email resumes and cover letters to msc@accessnyc.com
