Job Description -- PricewaterhouseCoopers' Center for Advanced Research (CAR) seeks an outstanding Audit Content Documentation Writer to join a dynamic team of professionals working on the design and prototyping of a next-generation audit software system.

The Audit Content Documentation Writer will be part of a small but very skilled 18-person software design/build development team using C# and .NET technologies among others to create and test a series of client-side prototype modules.

Unlike an ordinary development and test environment where the system is developed against pre-set specifications, the design/build environment will look more like rapid prototyping. The Audit Content Documentation Writer in this environment must work in a team with programmers and practitioners to understand the needs of the practitioners and document the way that knowledgeable practitioners (auditors) can provide audit content into the system in the form of libraries of profiles, libraries of risks, libraries of procedures, inter-relationships between all the foregoing, system policies (who is allowed to do what and when and whom should be notified when various things happen), and report formats. The fact that audit content will be the major determinant of how the system works means that careful documentation, understandable by knowledge auditors, is an important key to system success.

The development and testing of the prototype audit software system is expected to take about 2-3 years in the San Jos? office. At the end of this design and prototyping cycle, the successful candidate will have a track record which should lead to opportunities to transfer to other software positions within PwC, or, to become part of the development staff or lifecycle support staff for the audit software system.

The Audit Content Documentation Writer should have recent experience in auditing and be a good writer. Ideally, the successful candidate will also have experience in a software development environment although this is not required. A bachelor's degree or higher is highly desired.
