Audit Manager - Governmental/Non Profit

 Moss, Levy & Hartzheim, LLP is a regional public accounting firm with offices in Santa Maria and Beverly Hills.  The firm currently employs 30 professionals and serves governmental, non-profit, accounting and tax clients.  The firm seeks an audit manager for the Santa Maria office.

 

Responsibilities include:

Managing multiple engagements and staff

 

Preparing, reviewing and analyzing all necessary financial statements and related disclosures as well as reportable conditions letters

 

Keeping up to date on all the latest developments in GAAP as they pertain to governmental and non profits

 

Developing and maintaining client relationships by anticipating and addressing client concerns and escalating problems as they arise

 

 

 

Requirements:

Minimum of five years experience in Public Accounting, preferably of governmental and non-profit entities

 

Solid understanding of audit and attest services

 

Prior tax experience preferable

 

Specific knowledge of GASB and Governmental Auditing Standards, as well as general knowledge of FASB and GAAS

 

CPA certification

 

Previous supervisory experience

 

Bachelors Degree in Accounting

 

Most travel is within local area, some moderate travel outside of local area is required
