Audit Manager and Sr. Accountant

Our client located in Naples, FL is in search of an Audit Manager and Sr. Accountant to join their growing firm.

 

Audit Manager and Sr. Accountant will act as a liaison between the Principal, the client, the audit staff, and generally manages all phases of an engagement from start to finish. The Audit Manager has broad decision making authority on those engagements delegated by Principals, with the responsibility to keep the Engagement Principal informed of the client's situation and any potential problems. The Audit Manager must exhibit high standards of professional and social ethics, actively develop and train staff, seek opportunities to expand services to current clients, and aggressively broaden outside associations in the best interests of the firm.

 

Description:

? Full responsibility for planning, supervising, and controlling all phases of the firm's regular services for those clients delegated by Principals.

? Delegating or assuming in-charge responsibility, and project and plan the timing of the workload to promote the most efficient use of staff.

? Leading the decision-making process for assigned engagements/clients.

? Keeping the Engagement Principal fully informed of major decisions, engagement progress, and the client's situation and potential problems.

? Develop responsible, trained staff by assisting with recruiting, planning assignments, clearly communicating expectations, resolving problems, providing direct consultation to staff, evaluating staff performance, and acting as an instructor or discussion leader in professional development programs.

? Delegating and supervising preparation of the engagement letter for approval by the Engagement Principal.

? Discussing the nature and terms of the assignment with the client, estimating fees, and ensuring client signs and returns the engagement letter prior to starting the engagement.

 

Requirements:4 year college degree in Accounting.5-7 years public accounting experience, 3+ years in a supervisory role.CPA certification.Advanced technical knowledge of audit, accounting, and internal audit concepts related to financial institutions and the ability to instruct clients and staff in the application of these services. Analytical, creative approach to effectively manage engagements and guide the decision making process.A dynamic interpersonal manner with the capacity to develop and train staff through supervised practice.Excellent client service orientation with an ability to expand services and develop new business
