Audit Senior

A privately held bank holding company located in South Carolina is actively searching for an experienced Bank Auditor to assist with investment and mortgage internal auditing. 

 



Responsibilities:
Supervise the audits assigned by the Audit Manager to ensure that audit goals and objectives are adequately met.
Review audit workpapers, test work, and findings to ensure that audit recommendations are properly supported and documented and that the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of internal controls have been properly evaluated.
Ensure that audits are conducted in a timely and efficient manner and that recommendations for corrective action are realistic and cost beneficial to the Bank.
Develop, review and analyze the effectiveness of audit programs, recommending changes and improvements as appropriate.
Assist with the Audit scheduling process.
Maintain a current knowledge of bank products, services, systems, regulatory issues, and industry trends.
Maintain a current knowledge of internal audit best practices and profession trends.
Review audit reports for content, clarity, and conciseness, making changes as necessary.
No travel required.

 

Qualifications:
4 year degree
3 ? 8 years internal auditing experience.
Must have investment or mortgage audit knowledge.
Certification preferred.
Possess thorough knowledge of bank industry.
