TFG CPA?s is a regional Certified Public Accounting firm with offices in Syracuse, Auburn and Utica. Established in 1972, the firm specializes in a wide range of accounting and financial consulting services for businesses and individuals. We provide clients with a variety of tax planning and preparation, auditing and financial planning services.
About the Position:
The current position available is in our Audit department working with financial institutions, school districts and not for profits clients with focus on employee benefit plans, including unions and 401k plans.
Qualified Candidates must have at least 3 years in public accounting, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and be a CPA or CPA candidate (supervisors must have a CPA certification). Experience with financial institutions, school districts, not for profits, employee benefit plans, unions and 401k plan audits are a plus. Knowledge of Quick Books, Peachtree, Pro Systems, Word and Excel are all a plus. Additionally, audit experience, familiarity with financial statements, tax forms is a plus. Candidates should understand and apply accounting principles, research methods, audit standards and procedures as well as possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to work effectively as part of an audit team and interact appropriately with a wide range of clients. This position requires weekly local travel within central New York.
