Senior Accountant ? Benefit Plan Auditor

One of our Fortune 500 clients, is seeking a Benefit Plan Auditor. The Benefit Plan Auditor prepares and maintains financial records for various trusts and VEBAs and prepares financial statements, working papers, and other audit reports. He or she acts as the point of contact with external auditors of benefit plans; helps develop internal process controls; prepares complex allocations of pension expenses; reconciles pension administration general ledger expense accounts; and provides necessary audit/trust information to Form 5500 preparers. The Benefit Plan Auditor must be a CPA with extensive knowledge of GAAP and GAAS and significant experience in their application. He or she should have strong analytical skills, great communication skills, advanced Excel skills, and a working knowledge of Access or other database software. Little travel is required (less than 5% of the time).
