Billing Clerk 3

Prepare routine and specialized billing materials based on information from computer generated project cost ledgers; perform hard-copy alpha and numeric filing of billing documents; enter accounting data into custom database; answer routine inquiries from clients and staff concerning invoices, payments, and billing information; verify invoice figures and related data using 10-key calculator; communicate with project managers, contract administrators and credit/collections personnel in processing invoices. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with any combination of continued business or clerical training and 4 years experience in an accounting office (accounts receivable experience preferred). Must have an understanding of governmental and commercial contractual billing instructions; knowledge of basic accounting principals such as, debit and credit theory, and terminology used in accounting operations; proficient use of MS Excel and Word; able to file alphabetically and numerically; ability to use copier/scanner, fax and printer; 10-key by touch;  able to work under time pressures with little supervision in a high productivity environment; excellent people skills; self-motivated. Must pass SwRI Clerical tests
