About the Opportunity

This position is responsible for handling numerous accounts for this firm and providing ongoing advice and support to clients.  Candidate will perform write up work on monthly, quarterly, and/or a yearly basis and act as a full charge bookkeeper for a number of clients.  Candidate must have a professional and pleasant demeanor with the ability to handle escalations and time-critical issues with poise.  Primary responsibilities to include but not limited to the following:

 Prepares supporting workpapers for month end closing including bank reconciliations, A/R, A/P, fixed asset schedules, etc. Prepares annual and quarterly payroll tax returns. Assists with income tax preparation for individuals and business entities. Maintains accounting and related administrative files in accordance with the company?s policies and procedures, and in compliance with statutory requirements. Carries out all office administrative duties necessary for day to day operations.

 

QualificationsCan be trusted to handle extremely confidential and sensitive information. Ability to work independently, make decisions, and be detail oriented. Demonstrates a strong work ethic and manages time effectively. Capable of meeting aggressive deadlines and juggle multiple priorities. Is committed to producing accurate and high-quality work. Possesses strong interpersonal and customer service skills. QuickBooks, Word and Excel PROFICIENCIES are REQUIRED.Tax experience a plus, but not required.
