Bookkeeper/Tax Preparer

JK Harris & Company, LLC is seeking a sharp individual to provide bookkeeping support to multiple small businesses and prepare individual and corporate tax returns.

Responsibilities:
- Enter client's data into Quickbooks and generate monthly reports
- Summarize current financial status by analyzing general ledger accounts, compiling and submitting monthly statements
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Enter payroll and prepare 941's, 940's, W-2's and 1099's
- Correspond with multiple clients
- Prepare Limited Liability documents for client signature
- Prepare documents to liquidate a business
- Calculate quarterly estimated income tax payments for clients

Requirements:
- Two-year degree in accounting or five or more years accounting experience
- Quickbooks experience
- Excel proficiency
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
- Ability to work under pressure during tax season
- Knowledge of Tax Wise a plus, but not required
