Budget/Financial Analyst

Goodwill Southern California is actively recruiting for Budget/Financial Analyst.

 

This position coordinates, prepares and monitors summary information for all budget activities and processes in accordance with the objectives of Goodwill. Prepare and provide studies and analyses of past and current year?s budget to assist in the budget process. Periodically review budgets to analyze trends affecting budget needs. Ensure accurate budgeting in all departments, and research and report on variances throughout the year. Hands-on experience with strong spreadsheet and analysis skills preferred.

 

The successful candidate will also assist Controller with special projects (i.e. reporting and analyses) as assigned. Ideal candidate will rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of complicated tasks.

 

Candidate will possess a BA degree in Accounting or AA with significant work experience; must understand GAAP and the principles of accrual accounting. Strong interpersonal, verbal and organizational skills. Minimum 3 years. PC proficiency in Microsoft programs (Word, strong Excel, etc.) and accounting software. Knowledge of Blackbaud software a plus but not required.
