Business Mgr Sports Television

Description: SUMMARY Responsible for all accounting and finance functions for Cox Sport Television?s (CST) line of business. As an individual contributor, this role will be key to helping shape the future through financial analysis and strategic planning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Prepares monthly financial analyses and presentation to CST management team and the VP of Finance.

In partnership with System accounting team, will perform CST month-end close.

As needed, will support the CST business unit with both financial and decision support analyses.

Responsible for leading and coordinating the preparation of CST?s annual operating and capital budgets. Also responsible for adhoc and periodic financial re-forecasts ? including capital expenditures and suscribers.

Prepares and presents management reports and analyses.

Maintains an internal controls environment that meets or exceeds company standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a key individual contributor, works with CST team members and system financial and accounting personnel. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this area.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. S.)in Accounting or Finance from four-year college or university; and 5-7 years financial or accounting experience required. MBA & CPA preferred but not required. A minimum of 3 years of management experience required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus.
