CIPS SPA Senior Associate

Job Description -- Our Systems Process Assurance (SPA) services offers you the opportunity to broaden your career while presenting many exciting new challenges for a qualified IT systems audit professional. Systems Process Assurance focuses on ongoing IT operations as opposed to point-in-time testing and certifications. The Systems Process Assurance mission is to provide management with independent assessments of business risk, regulatory compliance, internal control assessments, and the efficiency/adequacy of business systems and processes.

As a "hands-on" Senior Associate, you will have the opportunity to consult with a variety of industry clients on issues ranging from IT systems compliance, business process optimization, profit improvement, internal control reviews and various risk assessments and security. This outstanding opportunity affords an experienced consultant to develop and utilize skill sets not usually required in other types of auditing. Additionally, Systems Process Assurance offers an opportunity to focus on and learn about business processes that are not emphasized fully in our current role as external auditors.

You will work closely with our clients and PwC management at all levels in developing IT audit findings, compliance issues and recommendations. Assignments will be large, high profile client companies within our Consumer Industrial Products & Services and Technology, Information/Communications & Entertainment practices, with exposure to a wide variety of challenges and learning opportunities. You will lead and you will support as a team leader and a team member in some of the following areas: Systems Risk Assessments and Audit Plans; Performance of System Audits; Sale of Value-Added Recommendations; Development and Clearance of IT Audit Reports; and Build Client Relationships.

Bachelor's Degree - Accounting
Excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills required.
CPA and/or CISA preferred.
MBA desirable

Job Requirement Essential

4 to 6 years of external and/or internal IT audit background, compliance experience required. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years systems assurance experience with a "Big 4" firm or IT internal audit experience. Solid working knowledge and understanding of SAS 70 reviews, compliance and risk review procedures, business processes and internal controls. Enthusiastic, motivated professional who desires to develop and maintain strong client and team relationships.
