COLLECTIONS ACCOUNTANT

Candidate should possess solid communication, technology and organizational skills. Successful candidate will have at least two years of accounting experience. Must be detail-oriented, personable and willing to learn in a fast paced accounting environment. Proficiency in Excel and Word required. Typical duties include:Responsible for accounting activities in the area of: Billing, Cash Collection, and Credit AnalysisCoordination of the cash collection process with other functions within the company such as Contract Management and Job Cost Management. Interfacing with customer representatives regarding past due invoices is required. Collection activities on accounts with an emphasis on maintaining ongoing business relations. Documentation of collection efforts in collection database.  Review credit applications and propose credit limits for new clients.Monitor adherence to credit limits.Communicate with Management on status of Accounts Receivable.Produce weekly and monthly reports as needed.Assist with month end Accounts Receivable reconciliation, and perform cash posting functions. Special projects as assigned.
