CONTROLLER

POSITION: Controller

SUMMARY: Reports directly to the CFO & General Manager. Manages the Accounting Department and is responsible for the accuracy of the general ledger and ensures the timely recording of all transactions to include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Sales, Cost of Sales, Fixed Assets, and standard monthly accruals. Manages the monthly close process and prepares timely monthly financial statements and reports. Responsible for the accuracy of all cash and credit card transactions and ensures all bank accounts are reconciled to the general ledger on a monthly basis. Ensures the accuracy of all sub-ledger interfaces and reconciles sub-ledgers to the general ledger. Responsible for the annual financial audit process, budget process, financial analysis, and internal controls. Works closely with other department heads to provide financial insight to ensure all accounting activity is recorded on a timely basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Manage all aspects of Oracle General Ledger, A/R, A/P, Cash Management, and Fixed Assets
? Responsible for the timely and accurate reconciliation of all company bank accounts
? Establish and maintain systems and controls, which verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the Company's value.
? Prepare financial information and quantitative reports for presentation to management
? Responsible for the annual year-end audit and the relationship with outside auditors
? Complete the month-end close process including journal entries and account reconciliation?s
? Reconcile all sub-ledger interfaces and system balances
? Review and record all sales and cost of sales transactions
? Ensure the recording of accurate margins and investigate and correct gross margin discrepancies
? Prepare and distribute month-end financial reports
? Perform financial statement review and analysis and prepare variance explanations
? Responsible for accounts receivable aging and collection
? Prepare year-end audit work-papers and support annual audit process
? Work closely with the CFO to manage and coordinate the annual budget process
? Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the royalty reporting and payment process
? Assist department heads with budget variance analysis and reporting
? Develop, document, and maintain controls, processes and procedures
? Participate as an active team member on special projects and ad hoc projects
? Prepare and file sales tax and personal property tax returns
? Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions

REQUIREMENTS:

? Strong general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, income tax, and banking working knowledge
? Full charge bookkeeping experience
? Very computer proficient ? including spreadsheets, hardware, and software
? Strong managerial abilities
? Strong analytical skills
? Detail oriented, flexible, and able to handle multiple projects concurrently
? Strong sense of urgency. Ability to work well under time constraints
? Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

? Bachelor degree in Accounting, or in Business or Finance with an accounting emphasis
? 5+ years related accounting and management experience
? Large ERP/finance system experience, Oracle Financials experience a plus
? CPA or CMA preferred
