Cash Management Accountant

Job Description:


Manages and monitors daily cash management transactions, reports cash operation activities and executes borrowing/investment transactions.  Ensures adequate liquidity by anticipating short-term borrowing needs.  Proposes proper investments and determines short-term cash to be invested.  Prepares cash flow projections.  Responsible for maintaining & developing bank relationships to maximize service and ensure unnecessary costs are eliminated.  Process cash transactions in accounting system and any related research.  

Job Requirements:


Write up daily bank cash deposits, take deposits to bank, post cash in general ledger and receivables system, any related research to resolve cash issues, excel daily cash report for corporate bank accounts, twice-weekly cash report for development bank accounts; monitor construction cash.  Periodic direction from supervisor required.

Perform daily cash management, forecasting activities, cash flow projections.  Determine cash requirements and available cash for investment.  Anticipate short and long term borrowing needs, ensure adequate liquidity, complete funding requests; appropriately invest excess cash.  Periodic direction from supervisor required.

Develop and maintain bank relationships.  Establish and monitor appropriate cash management program, account usage, bank charges; administer online banking, open/close/maintain bank accounts as identified, recommend and/or implement cash management policies and procedures.  Periodic direction from supervisor required.

Process department work overflow as identified and assigned.  Help cover absent team members' daily tasks.  Other special projects as assigned.

Technical Competencies:

Accounting Software; Timberline preferable.  Excel and Word.  10 key by touch.

Knowledge of Banking Products/Treasury Management Solutions.

Educational Requirements:

4 year undergraduate degree, preferably Accounting or Finance major.  CTP.

Work Eperience Requirements:

3 years related experience required.

5 years related experience desired.
