Cash Receipts Clerk - TEMPORARY

Description    -Review incoming transmittal sheets for compliance regarding confirmation

 of Duties:   of signatures, separation of checks and follow-up of  claim history updates.

    -Review batches of checks received to insure that the numbers of checks and

 totals are in balance with the amounts noted on the transmittals.

      -Prepare outgoing transmittals detailing in-house checks received.

    -Utilize a data base for incoming refund checks to match against the Great Plains     receivable system, updating the system as necessary.

    -Reconcile special accounts and claim refund unit cash receipts to the general ledger.

    -Follow-up to insure that applicable transmittals are returned confirming that claims history has

   been updated.

    -Insure that all checks are being restrictively endorsed and that only those checks appropriate for

   deposit by GHI are deposited (i.e. checks made payable to GHI).

    -Sort checks as appropriate by accounting code.

    -Perform related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications: -Minimum of two years college or equivalent business experience.

    -Ability to apply established procedures effectively and with good judgment.

    -Working knowledge of Access, Excel and Word.

    -Ability to work under pressure.

    -Ability to perform routine mathematical applications.

   

Test Subjects:   Written Exam

    Must pass both the practical computer skills assessment test and written exam.
