WA&Co, operates out of three offices located in Washington, D.C., Oakland and San Francisco, California. About the Opportunity Works as a Claims Analyst in the Supplemental Claims Department in support of a contract with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Work is performed at project site in Washington, DC. This position interacts directly with HUD personnel and financial institution staff. Works with a team of five other staff responsible for the review and analysis of mortgage insurance claims and the supporting documentation. The Claims Analyst must successfully complete a background check and obtain a HUD security clearance in order to access HUD's computer systems to enter claim data.

Qualifications

Practiced documentation skills.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.

Skilled at completing audits of accounting records, internal control systems, and related procedures for accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures.


Familiarity with the applicable Statement of Financial Accounting Standards (SFAS) rules for this industry.

Helps others handle organizational, technical, or procedural change.

Develops departmental policies, procedures, and workflows.

Experience developing and implementing process improvement initiatives.

Track record of maintaining quality standards for the team and implementing quality processes.

Maintains focus on accomplishing desired results.

Conscious of need to maintain confidentiality and adhere to company values.
