Collections Supervisor

Sunwest Management Inc., a senior housing operator, has an opening for a Collections Supervisor in the Accounts Receivable Department.

 

This position requires the employee to assist in the following:

 Developing strategies to minimize collection portfolio losses.Designing and administering collection processes, policies, and procedures. Supervises use of computerized collection systems. Has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day to day operations of the group.  Familiar with a variety of the field?s concepts, practices, and procedures.  Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

 

Responsibilities and essential job functions include; but, are not limited to the following:

 Responsible of supervision of the collection staff, lead workers and specialists.Responsible ensuring Sunwest?s collection policies are in compliance with various states regulations, especially the involuntary move-out (eviction) procedures.Responsible for the coordination with the Communities, the collection process through to involuntary move-out, as warranted.Advise and direct Community administrative staff as to the proper collection and involuntary move-out processes.Develops and implements training programs for all staff.A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 Minimum of 2 years of direct Collections experience, preferably in the consumer collections.Minimum of 2 years of direct supervisory responsibility.Experience in developing and implementing training programs.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.Excellent customer service skills.Advance skills in Microsoft Word, Access and Excel.Ability to work independently.Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.
