Collector - Lake Mary

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent with two years Collection experience. Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adhere to general bank regulatory policies and procedures.
Apply newly gained knowledge, skills or technique to current work and share success with other team members.
Assist the outside attorney and agencies with any issues pertaining to the assignments.
Provide timely resolutions to customer complaints, concerns and inquiries.
Identify Potential charge off for our collection department and process said accounts.
Track all charge off and recoveries.
Monitor all assignments and potential charge off accounts.
Represent the bank in court as needed.
Credit Risk
Responsible for insuring that all Auto loans are repossessed when it is confirmed that our collateral is in jeopardy.
Responsible for providing assistance and information to customers concerned with charged off accounts relative to credit reports, letters of satisfaction, investigations and repossessions.
Administer and distribute all letters pertaining to status on accounts, repossessions, Paid in full, Etc.
Consumer Lending
Responsible for contacting customers to make necessary efforts to get any delinquency resolved within assigned delinquent collection accounts.
Maintain good customer service relationship with customers and BPNA Region/Branch personnel.
Offer customers alternatives to make payments, including payment extension.
Ensures that all collection efforts conform to Bank policy and comply with State Laws and Federal regulations.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATRIBUTES REQUIRED:
Knowledge of various consumer and bank products.
Knowledge of Fair Debt Collections Practice Act.
Experience in collection techniques.
Effective Skip Tracing Skills.
Understand Remittance Statements from attorneys and agencies.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and Excel.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to positively interact with customers in difficult and demanding situations.
Ability to assimilate and apply new job-related information in a timely manner.
Exhibit adaptability in a team oriented environment.
Ability to work on multiple tasks accurately.
Effective customer service ability.
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships both internally and externally.
Credit Risk
Knowledge of repossession procedures and Auction and Redemption laws relative to automobiles.
Consumer Lending
Knowledge of repossession, bankruptcies, consumer credit counseling, deceased and disabilities procedures.
Strong analytical skills to identify and correct delinquency problems in a timely manner.
