Risk Analyst





As a Risk Analyst, you will work side by side with a team of professionals to analyze client data, evaluate needs, help create effective reinsurance solutions and assist with new client development.  During your first year you will participate in our Graduate Training Program, a detailed and comprehensive program that is the foundation for rapid knowledge and skill development.  The objective of the Guy Carpenter Risk Analyst Training Program is to prepare Risk Analysts to handle a wide range of account servicing responsibilities and make a meaningful contribution to the success of our clients and our company within three to five years.  This program will enable you to become a skilled reinsurance intermediary and advance your career at Guy Carpenter.  Upon successful completion of the program, you will have the opportunity for promotion to Assistant Vice President.







 



Day-to-day responsibilities may include:



Participating in the analysis of clients’ existing reinsurance programs and requirements, recommending and transacting customized reinsurance solutions

Assisting client teams in preparing presentation materials and proposals for existing and prospective clients and markets

Writing various documents for assigned accounts and highlighting their business strategies, risks and objectives

Analyzing and summarizing complex data and compiling reports

Attending client and market meetings





 



What we look for in Risk Analysts:





Qualified candidates must be motivated, creative and have a strong interest in business.  Responsibilities include interacting with clients and markets extensively, which requires excellent communication, interpersonal skills and strong detail orientation.  Candidates should also be service-oriented with solid analytical, research, writing and problem-solving skills.  Risk Analyst positions are available in various Guy Carpenter offices across the

United States.





 



Required qualifications:

Must be a U.S. citizen or have unrestricted authorization to work for an employer in the United StatesProgress towards a BA/BS degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)

Mathematical and financial aptitude

Basic computer application skills, with an aptitude for proficiency

Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with rapidly changing priorities and demands
