An East Bay Non-Profit industry is looking for a Senior Accountant to perform these job duties:

1. Reviews and approves payment vouchers.
2. Prepares month end closing, financial statements and all related schedules.
3. Reconciles various GL accounts and bank accounts.
4. Communicates with staff and outside vendors.
5. Imports and exports files between various banks and data base information systems.
6. Prepares trend analysis report of cash disbursements. Forecasts, calculates and analyzes contributions, investment income and expenses.
7. Writes up correspondence.

The candidate should have:
1. Strong reconciliation background.
2. Experience in Great Plain Accounting software and exposure to all different modules.
3. Experience in Investment accounting ? both equity method and cost method.
4. Hands-on supervisor experience.
5. 3 to 5 years general ledger accounting experience.
6. Able to identify and resolve issues, and self-motivated.
7. Good communication skill in both verbal and written.
8. The level of Microsoft Excel and Word as a ?Proficient User?.
