Purpose

As a Competitive Pricing Planning Analyst you will be responsible for the administration of Target's Prescription Competitive Shop Program. Ensures the competitive shop process reflects our corporate philosophy of being priced within +0.5% of our competition. You will also build partnerships and provide training and assistance to Merchandising, Stores pyramid and all third party shopping services on all competitive shop procedures and policies.

1. Operational Duties
Ensuring existing prescriptive competitive shop programs are executed in a timely manner and with minimal errors.
Working with merchandising buying departments to ensure all competitive shop items are set up correctly.
Acting as the contact person between merchandising and the third party shopping service.
Working with the Pharmacy team to set up and maintain pricing decision rules. Reviewing the shop results weekly and determines what pricing action should be taken.
Conducts monthly meetings with buying departments.
Identifying and analyzying competitive issues and areas of opportunity.
Monitoring competitor's circulars and promotions ensuring all identical items are on Target's competitive pricing system. Working with the Buying teams to add items to the Comp Shop system when necessary.
Being responsible for new store set up of prescription comp shop items.2. Reporting
Providing ad-hoc reporting to the stores and merchandising organizations as needed.
Producing monthly dashboard reporting on key metrics for the competitive shop process using SAS Enterprise Guide and MS Excel.
Producing monthly Competitive Ad-Recap Reporting.3. Training and Documentation
Providing and maintaining documentation and training for the stores and merchandising organizations on current systems and processes.
Partnering with CSC and Stores Support Help Desk to resolve any issues that may surface, via e-support forms.4. Competitive Pricing Strategy Updates
Being responsible for determining the pricing regions that are shopped and competitors that should be shopped for prescription items.
Partnering with Research and Planning and GRM to get demographic and competitive information to help decide what strategy to choose.

Job Requirements
Minimum Requirements
College degree
1-2 years of Target experience
Proven systems aptitude - PDX, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook
Strong systems aptitude
Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to build relationships and contribute in a team setting
Excellent problem solving, communication, and organizational skills
Detail oriented
Multi-task oriented
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines effectively with limited supervisionDesired Requirements
Pharmacy / Merchandising background
Financial analysis and reporting experience
Working knowledge in SAS - Enterprise Guide, FOCUS and/or mapping application
