Consignment Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

Maintain and analyze consignment billings, inventories and reporting.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1.)  (60%) Maintain the consignment function as follow:

a. Analyze consignment inventory, customer limits, and procedures.

b.  Bill consignment sales correctly from customer reported information and assure accurate invoicing and reconciling.  Resolve customer problems and questions related to consignments and consignment billings.

c. Evaluate sales and monitor invoices to ensure that the correct inventory is maintained with customer and internally. Analyze profitability of accounts and report any discrepancies or inaccuracies from model.

d.  Reconcile accounts balances and resolve discrepancies with customers.

e. Work closely with the Customer Service representatives and Divisional Vice President?s on issues related to consignments.

f.  Approve and release orders.

2.)   (10%) Prepare contracts and file UCC?s. 

3.)  (10%) Prepare month end reports for open consignments by Division and for program accounts and other reports as necessary. 

4.)  (10%) Set up and issue consignment reference numbers.  Determine gold, program type and due date.  File documents and maintain consignment files in an orderly manner.

5.)  (10%) Assist Return and Repair department in identifying and allocating returned merchandise to the correct account.

 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

1.)  Education and/or Experience-

Associate Degree minimum; or 1 to 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2.)  Language Skills-

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents according to company standards.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or the business community.

 

3.) Mathematical Skills-

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent . Ability to interpret mathematical data and results.

 

4.)  Reasoning Ability-

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
