This position is located at Johnson Controls, Inc., Interior Experience Campus in Plymouth, MI.


 


The ideal candidate should be a CPA with five to six years public accounting experience and have an excellent working knowledge of current generally accepted accounting principles and how they apply in today’s automotive environment. The candidate would also ideally have experience working with joint ventures and foreign country operations, and have a thorough understanding of foreign exchange transactions and accounting for such entities. Finally, the candidate we’re looking for would have experience working with SAP and Hyperion, and have management  / leadership abilities.


The responsibilities and duties of the Senior Financial Analyst-II Consolidation Accountant, include, but are not limited to:


Coordinate the consolidation of JCI’s North America Interior Experience Group and overall consolidation of the Interior Experience Group

Coordinate monthly and quarterly reporting requirements to Corporate HQ.

Coordinate year end audit and tax schedule preparation.

Principal interface with Corporate HQ on monthly questions and issues

Understand and administer Joint Venture accounting at NA IE, principal interface to JV controllership team.

Work on projects related to establishing new entities, consolidation and rearrangement of existing entities and tax / accounting issues that arise throughout the year.

Review and understand foreign currency revaluation and translation adjustments performed by Company Specialists in Mexico, Canada and to a  lesser extent Europe and Asia.

Become a “Super-User” resource for problem solving in the Financial Accounting module within SAP.
















Accounting/Finance Bachelor Degree. 5 years experience in Public Accounting (CPA preferred) highly desired.Previous consolidation experience in publicly held companies a plus.Previous experience with SAP a plus.Previous experience with Hyperion a plus.Strong analytical and excel skills.  Proven communication skills with proven ability to interact with multiple facets of organization and with international accountants.Strong customer service attitude.
