Consumer Credit & Risk Management Specialist

Develop, monitor, track, enhance, and manage the underwriting credit policies for existing customers and Retail and Cards products in Latin America (excluding Brazil).

Ensure the credit policies are executed correctly and are strategically in line with the Latin America region objectives.  Develop process validations for execution and monitor programs for test design, random sampling, and accurate implementation.

Monitor and validate credit policies across program and customer lifecycle.  Develop tracking standards and review actual results versus forecasts with full analysis of variances.

Ensure accuracy and integrity in the design, development and implementation of simple and complex statistical models, using large-scale demographic, behavioral and transactional data to assure maximum portfolio profitability.

Interact with national credit bureaus, leveraging the data for maximum value and usage for the risk management strategies.

Work cross-functionally with key business partners to support all existing customer and product strategies that will enable us to make the best risk/reward decisions.

Identify new opportunities by constantly reevaluating old credit policies and processes.

Design and execute tests that will enable future growth, strategy optimization or process enhancements.

Ensure that the adequate infrastructure (scorecards, systems, MIS etc) is in place to properly manage the portfolio.

 



Capable of indirect and direct management of projects with the ability to complete complex projects across a matrixed organization with an eye on timelines.  Strong project management, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).  Must be a team player, very self-motivated with high energy, and able to manage and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.

Strong analytical, project management and communications skills (written and verbal). Candidate should be highly experienced managing Data and knowledge of Datawarehouse Systems. Experience in SAS, SQL and other tools to support analytical methods will be a plus.

The ideal candidate must have at least 6+ years of business experience and at least 3 in credit risk/policy/execution or business analysis role with a financial services company.  Fluency in English & Spanish; Portuguese highly desirable.
