Consumer Research Manager

This position will be based out of the Holland, Michigan location.

Under direction and supervision of Strategic Research Director, the candidate will manage the execution of primary consumer research projects to support JCI?Interiors Experience activities. They will be responsible for leading the analysis and application of existing CR knowledge and insuring communication and utilization of knowledge within JCI.

Specific Duties:


1. Manage departmental planning (project topic, timing, budget, value) for consumer research activities based on the needs and plans of internal customers.


2. Communicate research plans to internal customer teams, and establishing relationships with Customer Business Units, Product Business Units and Design teams to?ensure CR collaboration, involvement, usage and feedback.


3. Develop and communicate quarterly performance to plan.


4. Manage planning and execution of projects by utilizing supplier and internal CR resources; ensure successful project completion, communication of results and recommendations.


5. Champion internal use of consumer data and analysis; responsible for assessing internal requests and leveraging existing knowledge before executing new research.


3. Develop and maintain core knowledge base to be applied to segment/product Body of Knowledge.



Education Required: Bachelor's degree in business, industrial design, research or a related field or?university work?combined with equivalent work experience. Specific course work or training in marketing, marketing research, and/or psychology.

Experience Required: 6-8 years in professional business, research, industrial design or related field.

Knowledgeable in use of computer word processing, spreadsheet, graphics and database softwares Strong analytical skills, logical thinker
