Position Summary:
Integral member of Business Governance Department chartered to ensure global internal controls are effective, enforced and compliant with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, company policy, and other applicable legislation. Focus is to implement a sustainable control process and provide education to all business disciplines and management levels throughout Mercury Marine.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide direct assistance to the Director and Senior Analysts, Worldwide Business Governance in the following areas:

Participate in process documentation validation, analysis and verification of internal controls, both financial and operational
Drive adoption of Sarbanes-Oxley monitoring activities
Identify business concerns, improvement opportunities and recommendations for corrective action; assist management with implementation of improvements
Proactively diagnose any control issues to understand potential pervasiveness
Leverage Oracle ERP implementation to implement automated controls
Other projects as required
Travel up to 35% - Domestic and International

Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:
Strongly self motivated and disciplined
Detailed knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley policies and requirements; working knowledge of US GAAP and COSO
Verbal and written skills necessary to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
Organizational skills to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
Working knowledge of Oracle Applications

Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, CPA or CIA certification preferred
2-4 years related experience (financial reporting, internal or external audit, business governance)
Manufacturing industry experience preferred
