Controller/Accounting Manager Retail Pharmacy Chain

Horton & Converse Pharmacies, a retail pharmacy chain with 10 locations in the LA area has an immediate opening for Controller/Accounting Manager in our Newport Beach (Fashion Island area) corporate office.

Experience should include an accounting degree and?strong computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel and Word).

Ideal candidate will also have MAS 90/Sage software experience, retail or medical insurance experience, and a CPA.

Areas of responsibility include: financial reporting, payroll and benefits, information technology, banking, and insurance billing.

Specific Tasks include:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual multi-store consolidating financial statements and related report using MAS 90/Sage accounting software.

Budget, monitor and control of cash flow.

Maintain daily banking functions.

Supervise 3 accounting staff members: A/R, A/P, and H/R?payroll.

Oversee Prescription and Medical Equipment insurance billing.

Assist in planning and preparation?of work papers for outside annual audit.

Prepare quarterly sales tax returns.
