Controller / Assistant Controller

A Fortune 500 building products manufacturer has asked our assistance in locating an Accounting Manager.  The company employs 14,000+ associates worldwide and has achieved annual sales in excess of 5 billion.  They are an industry leader serving the residential and commercial construction markets with over 33% marketshare for their product line.  Stock price has doubled 3 times over the last 5 years.  Largest R&D facility in the industry ? 60 patents last year (2005), more than all others combined.  This company values its employees.  The average tenure of employment is 20 years and every VP has been promoted through the ranks.  Salary includes bonus plus excellent benefits package.

 

Job Description

?  Supervising up to two cost accountants and up to six employees.

?  Raw materials will be tracked, allocated and balanced daily with Oracle, BOM and routings.

?  Maintain inventory accuracy and reconcile inventories with regard to MDIS production information.

?  Close plant month-end costs.

?  Administer production and cost reporting by working closely with the Plant Supply Chain Dept. and Production Personnel.

 

Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Plant cost accounting, (LinX/Oracle experience a plus)
Strong analytical skills.
Self motivated.
Relationship management and effective communicator, written and oral.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Strong computer skills including MS Office, Excel, Access and Word.
Must be willing to relocate.
