Controller for Steel Fabricator

Job Description:

All accounting functions through monthly financial statements

Year end financial statement preparation through income tax returns

Annual 1099's,1096,W-2's,W-3,940EZ & DE7 filings

Annual insurance audits & renewals(general liability, builders risk,bonding, worker's compensation, & auto liability

Annual credit line renewal & liaison with company financial institution

Annual job-in-progress schedule & billing in excess reports-accrual based

Maintain fixed asset schedules, implementation and maintenance of depreciation schedule

Company asset and purchases and leases

Preparation of bond packages- (bid bonds and performance bonds)

Monthly detailed balance sheets & profit & loss statements

Maintain general ledger

Monthly accruals

Process bank deposits & bank reconciliations

Set up job budgets for new projects on accounting system (American Contractor)

Track subcontractor payments, change orders,lien releases, etc.

Progress billings to contractors

Collections

Process subcontractor requests

Project/Job cost statements, cost analysis,job close out audits  & final job profitability reports

Semi-monthly payroll,prevailing wage payroll,& certified payroll reports

Monthly & Quarterly payroll & income tax deposits and report filings (fedral 941 deposit, state income deposit & EDD DE6)

Workers compensation reports,payments and compliance

Human resources-Employee benefit packages (medical, dental,vacations, etc,)

Create and maintain employee personnel records

Maintain company DMV compliance for vehicles and equipment

Supervise staff of two which includes accounts payable clerk and receptionist.
