Controller / Plant Controller

Essential responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned): manage the general accounting function and monthly close process in order to close the books accurately and timely, manage the cost accounting function (closing, verification and analysis of manufacturing variances, standard analysis, etc.), oversee the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package, establish and maintain internal control environment (to verify the integrity of systems, processes, and data) and safeguard company assets, coordinate annual audit, oversee monthly account reconciliation and analysis, oversee the activities of the Accounts Payable Department (ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, purchase orders, petty cash, and employee expense reports), oversee audits (bank, property, tax, lease, and other audits) as required, implement new policies and procedures to comply with requirements (such as GAAP) and improve efficiency, respond to the Vice President of Finance (as assigned) with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial analysis requirements.

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree (minimum) in Accounting or Finance with 7-10 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment performing similar duties. CPA designation will be a plus. Candidates must also possess a strong working knowledge of standard costing and variance accounting. Strong communication skills (written or oral) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel are required. Knowledge of Microsoft Access will be a plus. Knowledge of IQMS systems is also a plus.
