Our client, a very high-end Real Estate/Resort Development in the booming Florida Panhandle, with expected revenues over next 10 years in the $750 million range is seeking a Controller.  This Development is backed by $2 billion parent company.  The property encompasses 160 acres w/1500 frontage feet on the Gulf of Mexico and will include 800 high-end residential units, 250+ condo/townhome units, 50,000 sq.ft. of retail space and high-end amenities.
The Controller will be the senior financail and accounting executive for the development, with responsibility for managing all accounting and financial functions and staff. The person chosen for this position will oversee all the day-to-day accounting functions, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting and will be the main liaison w/parent company on accounting/finance matters, as well as advising the President on strategic and "big picture" financial issues.    

 

The ideal candidate chosen for this position will possess: A BS Accounting, MBA+ CPA A MUST! Seven - 10 years proven experience managing the accounting/finance functions for a Real Estate Development Company,with at least 3years at the Controller/Director level. Experience in variety of development projects:single/multi-family, retail and resort.Experience from both public accounting and private real estate entities.Must be "hands-on" Manager and team player.Must have strong experience in financial projections,pro-formas, reporting and analysis and budget management.Ideally will have managed accounting for multiple entities under one corporate umbrella.Must be bright and a quick studyAble to work well with senior management and interface with parent company CFO.High visibility with strong career track.
