Corporate Controller

Title Alliance, Ltd., the nation's most experienced title affiliation management company, seeks a hands on Controller to assume the responsibility for all aspects of accounting, financial planning, reporting and analysis.

The Controller will be responsible for directing all of the accounting staff as well as hands-on responsibilites for the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process for multiple entities.

Hands-on involvement in monthly closing of general ledgers including preparation, review and posting of journal entries, general ledger account reconciliations and analysis.

Monitor and review accounting activities for compliance, accuracy and adherence to the Company's accounting policies & procedures.

Financial reporting, forecasting, planning and budgeting for 41 branch locations.

Prepares schedules and analyses as required by external and internal auditors in conjunction with quarterly reviews, annual audits and Sarbanes-Oxley testing.


Mentors, trains and evaluates accounting staff members. Participate in recruiting staff members.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting

5+ years of experience

Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.

Self motivated with a strong hands on attitude towards getting the work done.

Strong organizational skills.

Manages time & resources effectively.

Proficient with computerized accounting and financial reporting systems. Proficiency with Datafaction, Oracle or Hyperion is helpful but not required.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel & Word

Strong supervisory skills.

Knowledge of other business processes such as operations, sales, and Human Resources.

Some real estate or title experience helpful.
