Corporate Income Tax Accountant

Position Responsibilities: Prepare federal, state, and local income and franchise tax returns and estimates for corporations. Provide data for federal and state audits. Prepare Annual reports.Maintain and monitor calendar for compliance and accounting due dates.Perform preliminary research on technical issues to formulate a basis for tax return filing positions. Prepare monthly tax provision entries, SFAS 109 reports, account reconciliations, and effective tax rate analysis.

Required Skills and Experience: Minimum of two years experience in federal and state income tax preparation and tax accounting. General knowledge of income tax laws, income tax accounting under SFAS 109, and GAAP rules. Strong analytical skills and organized work habits. Strong PC skills, especially in the use of excel. Strong written and oral communications skills.

Desired Skills and Experience: Experience in CorpTax tax preparation software and SAP general ledger. Big Four accounting firm and/or large corporation tax department experience with emphasis on companies subject to multi-state taxation
