Cost Accountant

Job Responsibilities:


Determines and implements cost accounting procedures and methods. Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports and costing audits. Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, rate schedules or services provided to determine effects on cost. Examines and reviews unusual cost records and ensures cost data is allocated correctly. Under general supervision, will perform a variety of tasks.  A wide degree of critical thinking skills and range of creativity is required.

 

Required Experience:

? Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance

? 3-5 years of experience in accounting for the manufacturing industry

? Familiarity with standard concepts, practices and procedures of a publicly traded company

? Experience utilizing an ERP system (i.e. MAS 90, SAP, Epicor, Enterprise, etc.)

? Experience with JDE (JD Edwards) highly preferred

? Bi-lingual in Mandarin Chinese a plus

 

Duties:

? Maintaining and reconciling inventory accounts

? Analyze product cost changes each period and variance analysis

? Communicate with management in regards to issues impacting cost and quality

? Month-end and year-end closing activities

? Identify and assist in the development of cost reports to improve information flow and efficiency
