Cost Accountant, (Caguas Area)

Responsible for the all cost accounting functions, including cost development, cost estimates for new and revised products.
* Monitors and reports manufacturing variances, scrap and absorption on an weekly basis.
* Reporting of actual costs and manufacturing variances on a monthly basis, including detailed and meaningful explanations.
* Preparation of annual budget, budget schedules and forecasts. Participates in the presentation of the annual budget to division.
* Assists in planning, scheduling, auditing the annual physical inventory. Analyzes inventory reserve accounts to recommend adjustments, if needed.
* Responsible for recording fixed asset related activities, including review of open CB-2’s, tracking capital expenditures, capitalization of assets, preparation of related reports and performing periodic fixed asset inventory.
* Responsible for compliance with any Sarbanes Oxley related requirements.
* Tracking and reporting of cost reduction programs.
* Preparation of the audit schedules as needed.
* Keeps abreast of the basic requirements for compliance in own area of work and complies with those requirements. Participates as required in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work. Brings regulatory compliance questions/issues to the attention of management.
* Promotes a safe work environment. May provide recommendations on maintaining the safety of the work environment. Participates in Environmental Health and Safety programs. Addresses corrective actions whenever a hazard is identified. Notifies supervisor of all observed hazardous conditions or unsafe work practices. Requirements:


BBA in Accounting or Finance

5 years of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Fully Bilingual

SAP Experience is a plus
