Cost Accountant - Manufacturing

Job Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- One or more years of related work experience
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills required.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with accelerated Excel and Access Skills, Lawson General Ledger software is preferred.
- Strong communication skills Job Description This position is responsible for various cost accounting functions, enforcing standard cost methodology, ensuring bill of material accuracy, moth-end financial reporting and analysis, Tooling Amortization tracking, budgeting and planning and new product cost estimates.

It requires interfacing with various departments and the production floor in order to analyze and report various aspects of plant performance.

Job duties include but are not limited to: Analyze bills of material and report final costs to division.

Prepare inter-company billings and reconcile inventory transactions between Divisions.

Analyze monthly production and record results in the General Ledger.

Analyze and report variance to Plant Management. Input and maintain component and raw materials costs in the Division France database.

Provide cost estimates for new products by coordinating efforts of Purchasing, Industrial Quality and the plant production floor.

Assist in the preparation of Plant Budget and Trend information
